变进给切削过程的动态稳定性——关于韧性材料可靠断屑方法研究之三

DYNAMIC STABILITY OF VARIABLE FEED CUTTING PROCESSES, BEING SERIES 3 IN "RELIABLE CHIP BREAKING METHODS APPLICABIE IN CUTTING DUCTILE MATERIALS

  • 摘要: 通过切削试验分析研究了变进给切削过程的动态稳定性,决定了颤振域限计算和测量了极限切削宽度和颤振频率。建立了重叠系数公式,找出了重叠系数与极限切削宽度之间的关系,用“仰制—激发—仰制”颤振的新假设来解释变进给切削过程的动态稳定性。并研究了在自激振动下强迫振动的影响,从而得出了变进给切削过程的动态稳定性高于匀进给切削过程的动态稳定性的结论。 最后还讨论了这一研究对实际生产的应用价值。

     

    Abstract: The dynamic stability of variable feed cutting processes is studied by cutting test and theoretical analysis. Through this study the chatter threshold is determined, the limiting width of cut and the frequency of chatter computed and measured. Formulae for the coefficient of overlapping is developed and the relationship between the limiting width of cut and coefficient of overlapping is found. Meanwhile a new hypothesis of chatter to explain the dynamic stability of variable feed cutting processes-that of "restraint-excitation -restraint" chatter mechanism is tentatively proposed. The influence of forced vibration upon self-excited cutting vibration is also investigated. On this basis, it is concluded that the dynamic stability of longitudinally variable-feed cutting process is higher than that of uniform feed cutting process. Finally, the practical implication in industrial application is discussed.
