Abstract: A weter soluble paraffin inhibitor WPI-F2 has been experimented on a type of petroleum from Daqing Olifield and another from the Shengli Zhuangxi Oilfield for the inhibition of paraffin deposition as well as viscosity reduction. The influence of mass fraction of water of the petroleum upon the efficiency of wax deposition inhibition is discussed.
