Abstract: Dinitro - D3 - trishomocubane was synthesized starting from the readily available D3-trishomocubane-4, 7-dione. Father oxidative nitration of 4, 7-diniboD3-trishonocubane gave 4, 4, 7 - trinitro - D 3 - trishomocubane and 4, 4, 7, 7 - tetranitro D3-trishomocubane by controlling the reaction time.
