Brill Transition of Nylon 48

  • 摘要: 采用变温X射线衍射和DSC-XRD同时测定的方法,研究尼龙48在升温和降温过程中发生的Brill转变现象.根据DSC-XRD同时测定的结果,提出了尼龙48的Brill转变的分子机理.研究结果表明,尼龙48与尼龙66一样,加热时,由室温下的三斜晶型(α)转变为高温下的假六方晶型(β);冷却时,β晶型转变成α晶型.尼龙48的Brill转变温度(tBrill)是210℃.当t 

    Abstract: Brill transition of nylon 48 is investigated by variable temperature X-ray diffraction (XRD) and simultaneous differential scanning calorimetry-X-ray diffraction (DSC-XRD). The molecular mechanism of Brill transition of nylon 48 is estimated from the results of DSC-XRD. Similar to nylon 66, the pseudohexagonal high-temperature β modification can be obtained by heating the triclinic α modification above the Brill transition temperature. The β modification,when cooled, changes back to the α modification. It is found that the Brill transition temperature of nylon 48 is about 210 ℃. The triclinic cell (α1) took on a rhombic shape (α2) at tBrill, and the slide of hydrogen bonded sheet induced transition to the β modification at t=t Brill.
