Abstract: To improve traffic safety level and increase the efficiency of crossing facilities,the paper presents a methodology in studying selection preference of pedestrian crossing behavior.402 pedestrians were interviewed by a questionnaire about pedestrian's behavior of crossing crosswalk and pedestrian bridge in Beijing Zhongguancun Street.In the questionnaire,three parts are included,i.e.,characteristics of pedestrian,feature of facilities,and preference of facilities selection.Based on the surveyed data,factors influencing crossing behavior were analyzed and binomial Logit model was formulated.The results showed that 80.29% of crosswalk data and 85.66% of pedestrian bridge data out of the model formulated fitted the field data.
