Abstract:
In order to testify whether acoustic signal of underwater explosion can be used as an acoustic interference in torpedos underwater warfare, some underwater explosion tests have been carried out and many experimental data measured. By the test data and timed curves the acoustic characteristics of underwater explosion have been analyzed in terms of shock wave propagation and attenuation, bubble pulsation, signal duration, pressure amplitude and their spectrums of power ratio. The results showed that underwater explosion can be used as a strong source of acoustic interference, and will play an important role in anti-torpedo warfare.
