一种低信噪比下LFM信号参数快速估计算法

A Fast Algorithm on Parameter Estimation of LFM Signals Under Low SNR

  • 摘要: 为了对线性调频(LFM)信号参数进行快速、准确的估计,提出了一种新算法. 该算法根据LFM信号当能量一定时在相同时宽范围内频谱幅度平方与调频斜率成反比的特点,通过对若干组快速傅里叶变换(FFT)结果进行模值选大,同时给出了起始频率和调频斜率的估计. 仿真结果表明,通过合理设置算法参数,算法可以用于信噪比低至-38dB的LFM信号的参数估计.

     

    Abstract: To attain fast and accurate estimation under low signal and noise ratio(SNR) conditions, a novel algorithm is presented. On the basis that when linear frequency modulation(LFM) signals possess the same energy and duration, their squares of spectrum amplitude are inversely proportional to their respective frequency rates, the algorithm can give estimations of initial frequency and frequency rate together only by means of searching the maximum among several groups of fast Fourier transform(FFT) maximum amplitudes. Simulation results showed that through setting proper algorithm parameters, the algorithm can be applied to LFM signals when the SNR as low as -38dB.
