Abstract:
In order to study the mechanical properties of the soil in quasi-static, a compression test with very low strain rates was carried out, using the electronic universal test machine. It was for soil with different parameters to get the stress-strain curves in overall process. According to the experimental results, dynamic response was analyzed in three aspects of density, texture of soil, moisture content. In the case of same strain, the stress increased with increasing density of soil sample, and the effect of the moisture content in clay soils is important, but it is not that evidence for sand soil.
