PLASMA POLYMERIZATION WITH A MACRO- MOLECULAR MONOMER SOURCE

A new plasma polymerization process is proposed in this paper for the preparation of functional films, in which a liquid or solid (even polymer) with mean molecular weight of more than 200 is used as monomer source. As a result of wider choice of raw materials, this method is of advantage and more practical. The solid films prepared in this way have better properties than those polymerized from small molecular monomers in many respects.
