Fast Prediction of Near Field Strength Radiated by Small Antennas

Large sized moving-equipments (e.g. warships, airplanes, etc.) are normally equipped with many radio communication stations and weapons, formulas are often required for the fast estimation of the field strength radiated by the antennas of such radio communication system on nearby areas for EMC analysis and prediction. Through analysis and transformation of formulas on the basis of near field formulas for the small antennas (electrical dipole and short-element antenna), formulas for the fast estimation of the electric field strength radiated from small antennas on the nearby areas of the antenna are derived. They are handy for use and the calculated results are in good agreement with results calculated with the MOM method.
