Abstract
A novel chemical calcium oscillator is constructed by combining the iodate-sulfite-ferrocyanide(ISF) system with the CaNa<sub<2</sub<EDTA complex formation equilibrium. Effects of temperature, flow rate and acid concentration on ISF are investigated to seek the best pH oscillation performance. Calcium oscillation in the novel oscillator is stable, and there are many ways to inspect the nonlinear phenomenon in the system, so it is suitable to setup further spatiotemporal calcium signaling system on the basis of this oscillator. The construction of this novel oscillator provides a useful platform to investigate calcium signal by nonlinear chemical research.
