Synthesis and Biological Activity of Titanocene Carbohydrate

Four new compounds of titanocene carbohydrate were synthesized by combining individual carbohydrate with Cp₂TiCl₂. They were C₁₂H₂₁O₁₂·C₁₀H₁₀TiCl, C₁₄H₂₀NO₁₁·C₁₀H₁₀TiCl·8H₂O, C₁₂H₂₁O₁₂·C₁₄H₂₀NO₁₁·C₁₀H₁₀Ti·26H₂O and C₁₄H₂₄NO₁₃C₁₀H₁₀TiCl. All compounds were characterizated by IR, ¹H-NMR spectroscopy and elemental analysis and were tested to examine the growth of uterine cancer cells. Biological experiments show that all presented compounds are dissolved easily in water and have better anti-tumor effects. In addition, the target affectation to liver of glycanonic acid is exhibited.
