Springback Prediction Model on Tube Bending Formation of Stainless Steel

  • In order to improve the accuracy of springback prediction in tube bending, the construction of springback prediction model was studied. With the tube tensile test of 1Cr18Ni9Ti stainless steel, the piecewise nonlinear σ-ε model was proposed and established. Then the springback prediction model based on σ-ε relationship was established using elastic-plastic deformation theory. The formula to calculate springback of stainless steel tube was deduced. Finally, the effects of various factors on springback were analyzed. Experiment results show that the springback prediction values are in good agreement with the experimental values, which verifies the correctness of theoretical analysis and the validity of the model.
