Seismic Response Analysis of Continuous Curved Girder Bridg Based on the DOM Method

  • A simplified bridge model suitable for parametric study of curved highway bridges was presented. According to the horizontal seismic response characteristics of continuous curved girder bridges, a simplify model of three degrees of freedom considering the Rayleigh damping was introduced. The principle of the differential quadrature method for the dynamic characteristics of solving non-isolation and isolation curved girder bridges under the excitations of unidirectional seismic wave input was explored. Combined with Matlab programming, the seismic waves in the most unfavorable input angle was proposed. The results showed that the model is able to respond to the dynamic characteristics and seismic response of curved bridges, which might contribute to grasp of the curved bridge seismic safety.
